Association between Hs-CRP and other Cardiovascular Risk Factors with Blood Pressure in Young Adults

چکیده
INTRODUCTION: Hypertension remains the leading preventable risk factor for premature mortality and morbidity worldwide. The use of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) as global prediction assessment cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in asymptomatic individuals suggests possibility that higher hs-CRP, or subclinical inflammation, maybe one causal factors contributing to an increased CVD young hypertensive patients. Most studies hypertension hs-CRP association were conducted regionally, whereby most participants Caucasians with age beyond 40 years old. Studies this among adults Asian populations are lacking, therefore, a generalization data might be limited certain ages only. MATERIALS AND METHOD: This comparative cross-sectional study analysed between other three different blood pressure statuses categorised into Normotensive (NT), Pre-hypertensive (PHT), Hypertensive (HPT) groups Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. RESULTS: Independently, was significant only males subjects parental history prehypertensive group. However, group, relationships not histories but also obese subjects. Hs[1]CRP associated status present study. CONCLUSION: hypothesis hs[1]CRP has independent demonstrated observed circulating is likely driven by confounders namely age, gender, genetic factors, BMI status.

Distribution and association of hs-CRP with cardiovascular risk variables of metabolic syndrome in adolescent learners
OBJECTIVE Metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its associated cardiovascular risk are on the increase in children. High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) has emerged as a useful marker for inflammation associated with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Our aim was to determine the distribution of hs-CRP in an effort to identify the MetS variable that is critical in modulating plasma CRP...
متن کاملThe association between neck circumference and cardiovascular risk factors in patients with acute coronary syndrome
Purpose: To investigate the relationship between neck circumferences and cardiovascular risk factors in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Materials and Methods: In a cross-sectional study, 100 patients with acute coronary syndrome in Kerman hospitals were assessed by measuring their neck circumference and risk factors of cardiovascular disease. The data were analyzed by student t...
متن کاملAssociation between high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels and the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and/or microembolic signals after carotid angioplasty and stenting
Background: To evaluate the association between pre/post-procedural high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level and hs-CRP difference, and the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) or new diffusion-weighted MRI lesions after carotid angioplasty and stenting (CAS). Methods: In this study, conducted in 2016 in Shiraz (Iran), patients who underwent diagnostic angiography and CAS...
متن کاملAssociation between blood pressure changes and obesity in over-18
Introduction: Overweight and obesity are risk factors for developing many diseases such as hypertension. Furthermore, obesity indicators such as abdominal height, waist circumference and hip circumference can independently and sometimes more severely lead to blood pressure changes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between blood pressure changes and anthropometric in...
متن کاملAnxiety, Stress-Related Factors, and Blood Pressure in Young Adults
Hypertension (HT) is a long-term medical condition characterized by persistently elevated blood pressure (BP) in the arterial vessels. Although HT initially is an asymptomatic condition, it chronically evolves into a major risk factor for cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and renal diseases that, in turn, represent crucial causes of morbidity and mortality in industrialized countries. HT is a co...
